This bungalow used to stand at the top of St Aldhelm's Hill on the corner of Burnham Road and Pool Gastons Road. Its last occupant was a Mr Joyce who in the first world war was sentenced to death for mutiny - he had been a spokesman for exhausted troops. He afterwards swore never to join any group of any kind ever again.
