The Cloister Garden to the north was established in 1980. the 1100th anniversary of the town's Charter and opened by Princess Anne. Having been blessed with another large legacy, further works have been undertaken including the renewal of the internal and external lighting completed in 2003. A major project is also under discussion to provide a place for meetings, possibly a facility for refreshments, and toilets.
