Cowbridge This is architecturally one of Malmesbury's gems. Rebuilt, strengthened and stabilised in 2007 this bridge dates from the early 20th century. The name was formerly "Cowfolde" bridge and was part of the "grange" of Malmesbury Abbey, the fields and watermeadow renowned for lush grasslands and excellent dairy lands. Near this bridge, Cowbridge Mill possibly another Domesday site. A new development replaces a mansion house which stood near the old mill.
